First images from ALO-1

Back in february we started to design our first lunar mission ALO-1 (Astronomik Lunar Orbiter 1) to get ultra-sharp images from the lunar surface.
The mission started on april 1st, and while we originaly planned the arrival at the moon for june 21st, the journey took much longer due to pandemic restrictions.
Finaly ALO-1 arrived at a stable lunar orbit on dec 1st and sent back the first high resolution images from the funny side of the moon:

We are all amazed by the stunning details visible and we are happy to share this with you.

Have a happy Christmastime and a happy and healthy 2021!

All the best from mission controll, hamburg
