Astronomik UHC |
||
The Astronomik UHC is our filter for the visual deep-sky observation. The Astronomik UHC filter lets pass through almost 100% of the radiation from both O-III lines and the H-beta line. A second bandpass for the H-alpha line ensures that also this radiation reaches the eye. Every disturbing scattered light from the other wavelength ranges is surely filtered out. Due to the strong reduction of the sky background, gas nebulas and planetary nebulas are visible in unexpected abundance of details. The filter are optimised for the use with focal ratio from 1:4 to 1:15. Loss of transmission and colour displacements, that appear at other filters, emerge with the Astronomik filters only at extreme fast focal ratios of 1:3 and bigger. Compared to the UHC filters sold by other manufacturers the Astronomik UHC shows you more stars and more details in the nebulas. Because of the high quality of the glas you will see stars as the small pinpoints you know from your scope. The Astronomik UHC can be used with all sizes of instruments. The use in front of binoculars is a great improvement. -Just look up and see the cirrus- or the north-america nebula ! |

The red lines are the most important lines from artificial light pollution. The green lines are the most prominent emission lines for nebulas. The grey curve is the human eye´s night-sensitivity. The blue line is the transmission curve of the filter. |
